Litres 2019-2021
Design Direction
In 2019, I started working as Product Design Director, where I led a team of amazing designers. We were responsible for shaping the entire design direction of Litres. My team and I tackled everything from evolving our design system to redesigning the dark theme, and refining the user experience across the board. Leading the design for new features like the subscription models and reimagining the navigation was both challenging and rewarding, and it was all about making sure our users had the best possible experience.
In this time we designed and redesigned a great number of projects, here's a few snapshots of the results we achieved:
Referral Program Redesign
The Referral Program is a convenient and profitable tool for authors to run promotions and earn extra profit from referred buyers. Litres already had referral tools for bloggers and partners, but for indie authors, it was too complex and not very appealing.

We rethought the mechanics, selected the most convenient and useful tool for indie authors, redesigned all stages of the process and made the description as clear as possible.

Profile and Signing In Process Upgrade
We redesigned the author's profile section in Selfpub, focusing on improving navigation, adding new login methods, and accommodating new features. This update was synchronized with the redesign of the navigation system and the login/registration process.

Contribution and Results
My role involved revamping the profile section to integrate new login methods, such as phone number entry, and to restructure the profile navigation to handle the growing number of features. We redesigned the profile section to include forms for identity and payment verification, adding and verifying phone numbers and emails, and ensuring access to contracts and documents. The project also involved synchronizing the login and registration process with other Litres teams.

Books Hub and Publishing Process Redesign
We redesigned the 'My Books' page in Selfpub to resolve user frustrations, simplify the publishing process, and allow for agile experimentation and scalability. This update addressed both usability issues and the need for a more robust and flexible system to support various book formats.

Contribution and Results
As the Product Designer, I played a key role in updating the 'My Books' page. The project involved restructuring navigation, reorganizing content for clarity, and implementing a new design system. We streamlined the publishing process by categorizing books into tabs, enhancing progress tracking, and providing clear instructions and prompts. This redesign improved conversion rates and facilitated the publication of various book formats, leading to a significant increase in user engagement and market share.

Mega Menu for Litres Web Book Catalog
Implementing a mega menu to enhance navigation on Litres, making it easier for users to find books among the vast and growing library of over a million titles.
Challenge: Litres’ existing genre-based navigation and search became inadequate as the catalog grew to over a million titles. Users struggled to find books without knowing specific subgenres or exact titles, leading to a frustrating browsing experience.
Solution: We introduced a mega menu that expands from a sidebar of main genres to reveal subgenres, popular books, tags, authors, series, and curated collections. This structure made book discovery intuitive and flexible, accommodating diverse user needs and enhancing the overall browsing experience.
Impact: The mega menu significantly improved user engagement, making the search process more enjoyable and effective, resulting in better conversion rates.

Uº Community
Developing a user-centric social media platform on the U˚OS blockchain, focusing on showcasing the platform's capabilities while simplifying complex blockchain interactions.
Challenge and Solution Overview: I joined the project when the primary goal was to grow the platform and effectively showcase the blockchain's potential. I contributed to the design of user profiles, which displayed groups, subscriptions, and blockchain ratings. Additionally, I worked on simplifying the registration and authorization processes, making them as intuitive as possible despite the inherent complexity of blockchain technology. Another major project involved designing the feed, posts, comments, and reply mechanisms. We analyzed competitors, identified areas for experimentation, and created features aimed at boosting user engagement.

ABOUT ME
I am a UX / Product Designer based in Tel Aviv. I worked in this capacity for the last 10 years, in both startups and established companies. Before that for several years I was engaged in graphic, print and packaging design.

I have a Bachelor degree in Cultural Studies, and also spent quite some time studying Art and Art History, and later – Cultural Anthropology. It is still my favorite field of study, and of course it also informs my work – both my understanding of products and services and my approach to user research.
